Support for Schools.

Supporting Pupils experiencing EBSA and Attendance difficulties.

We work in partnership with schools to ensure that pupils who are unable to attend school remain engaged with education and continue to make academic progress.

Our provision supports schools in responding to:

Persistent absence

Anxiety-related non-attendance

Emotionally based school avoidance

Pupils waiting for alternative provision

Pupils requiring reintegration support

We are an EBSA Specialist Re-Engagement Provision

Supporting Schools through Specialist EBSA Provision.

Here at The EBSA Training Centre we specialise in supporting Schools, local authorities and families working with children and young people experiencing EBSA. Emotionally based school avoidance also associates with anxiety related barriers, attendance difficulties, SEND, and emotional wellbeing needs.

We understand the increasing challenges schools face in supporting pupils. It's not that these children don't want to come to school, because they do. It is because they are emotionally and mentally exhausted from day to day anxiety challenges, which can impact attendance, engagement, emotional regulation and access to learning. Pupils often benefit from learning in a smaller, calmer environment where pressure is reduced and confidence can be rebuilt. We provide structured learning designed to:

  • Maintain educational engagement during periods of absence

  • Rebuild pupils confidence in learning

  • Support gradual reintegration into education

  • Reduce the risk of long term disengagement

Our provision complements the support already being provided by schools and inclusion teams.

Our approach is compassionate, trauma informed and centred around building trusting relationships that enable young people to feel safe, understood and supported.

With the help of The EBSA Training Centre, children in schools will gradually grow confident in their learning and themselves, and feel trusted enough to walk back into a lesson with their head held high.
